Hello, bit of a particular question here, but I am curious about OSR systems which have a focus on 1970s style dungeon crawling. I.e., the main focus of play should be the dungeon-crawl, and the system should provide everything therein which you would need to play that indefinitely (monsters to stock a dungeon with, magical items, etc.). For example, we currently play White Box FMAG and it is one slim book that does all of that; basically I am looking to read OD&D-style alternatives (not necessarily OD&D clones, as I am quite familiar with all of those). The system should focus on dungeon play in particular, and give you the tools to play such that you don’t need modules of any sort (again, like OD&D worked back in the 70s). One that I recently came across that I liked a lot is Pits & Perils. Also (and again, from Olde House Rules), Mydwandr (though the focus of that one is slightly more broad than dungeon-crawling in particular). I should also say that the lighter, the better. I’m quite satisfied with FMAG but I’m always curious about lighter systems. Anything come to mind?
