So I while believe that the Blanchard typology is quite flawed as I myself am a bi trans girl whose transition is certainly not driven by a fetish, I do know someone who I believe has AAP. The person in question is my cousin’s (a transhet guy) ex girlfriend from when he was a lesbian. This person also initially identified as a lesbian while dating my cousin, however the last time I visited this part of my family and this person was there they were thinking they were bi (which actually made more sense than lesbian given how much they would talk about boys the prior trips). This is person fueled a lot of family and as a result the trip they told me they were bi was the last time I saw this part of the family. A few months after we cut off contact I noticed on TikTok that my cousin had come out as ftm which didn’t surprise me given my cousin’s history and the fact that he seemed to have chest dysphoria the last few trips before we cut off contact. A few months later the ex girlfriend also came out as ftm and it seemed like they were just being a tucute, they then came out as NB and Pan then Genderfluid and then a Gay Trans Boy and have changed their name multiple times to weird names/anime names. My reasons for believing that their trans identity is being driven by AAP are that it seems that they only started thinking they were ftm during a time when they felt more attracted to guys, they have no dysphoria and love their boobs, their goal is to be seen as a flamboyant gay guy and to them that means acting and presenting like a normal girl (ftm femboy), and they have a homoerotic anime fetish when seems to be why they chose anime anime names. For those reasons that is when I feel that they are a cis bi girl that suffers from AAP, on top of all that when I hung out with them they were very transphobic given that I was coming to terms with being trans and would say “why can’t you just be gay or just be bi as a guy?”. From what I have said does this sound like AAP to you?
