Guys, I think I just got a brilliant idea that could potentially fix the map making issues with range 2 Liberators (or Terran buildings in the corner if we consider that an issue). Please let me know if I’m missing something, because to me it sounds like a perfect solution.
The idea: adding small clouds of “corrosive” or “burning” gas in dead air spaces , for example behind mineral lines. Any flying units or just mechanical air units, and potentially flying structures too, will start to slowly lose hp if they spend more than 5-10 seconds inside the gas cloud. The technology should be there because we had similar stuff in the single player campaigns if my memory is right.
The only downside that comes to my mind is nerfing the potential of hanging Warp prisms, Ravens or loaded Medivacs in dead spaces with the damaging gas, but it’s not like every air space needs to be filled with that gas. It would be up to the map maker to choose where and if to add the damaging gas to their map.
