As a student I take the public train pretty often, but a few days ago a man sitting next to me was posing his phone camera at me in a really awkward position towards my lower torso. I was wearing my school uniform and it made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Keep in mind I know some people rest their phones in a direction that may look like they’re trying to take photos, but in this case it was very different. He was holding his phone on his lap vertically with his phone camera pointing towards me. It made me quite paranoid cause the way he’s holding his phone looked quite deliberate, but I also didn’t want to falsely accuse someone who holds their phone in a weird way, so I sat silently whilst it went on for several minutes.

Once I reached my station I just quickly left and reported him to the customer service of the station, but I felt bad for not speaking up or confronting that man. Thus, I want to know what would you have done in this same scenario or something similar.
