Saw a comment thread on the last Korean chapter about how strong Mak Soo was to fight against one of the top 5 under the heavens. The reply to that was that although Mak Soo wasn’t in the realm of the 9 Monsters, he was still one of the 9 Ghosts (Water Ghost). With the huge element buff due to his surroundings, he was able to hold his own. It takes a shit ton of internal energy to be able to fight on top of water, which was why the top class expert had to retreat back to the boat.

Once Mak Soo is able to control his master’s energy, perhaps he and Noh will subdue the fire demon god, saving his sons and the twin demons in the process? Ofc that’s after Noh takes down and absorbs the wood demon god. Will Mo Wei and Mak Soo subdue out-of-control Noh, or the other way around? Dunno how the emperor situation will tie-in to the finale, possible broompa death?
