I just took a 10 hr flight on United (economy plus), and used my AVP for most of the journey.

The experience was excellent. The AVP detected that I was on a flight and offered to put itself in flight mode, and was absolutely rock solid from that point forward.

I used iCloud Drive to bring over some movies that I watched using Cineplex and Theater. I also watched some Apple TV+ content.

It’s hard to overstate how much nicer this was than using an iPad. It really took me out of the environment of the plane and I’ve never felt so good after this flight as I do now. Having my head in an upright position probably helped a lot as well as the more relaxed eye focus.

I used the Belkin travel case, and it worked really nicely when I needed to temporarily put the AVP down to use the bathroom or eat etc., as well as being small enough to fit inside my personal item backpack.
