The world does not care for trans people and probably never will. Whether that’s hatred, anger, pity, fear, whatever, pretty much the only active supporters are LGBT people themselves and people extremely close to trans people.
To a lot of people, there is not a single thing you can say or prove that will make them change their mind. I encounter it every day, online and in real life. I avoid bringing up the topic myself, but somehow, to use some choice words from others, it’s always “shoved in my face”. Sensitive snowflake or whatever.
I’m tired. It’s been years and I’m sick of everything people say. Some arguments I myself can’t even mentally refute. People are going to say and do the same things for the rest of my life, so would it be less painful to just repress it and hope it goes away?
Even now, anyone could easily say I’m reassurance-seeking because I’m not actually trans or whatnot.
Exhausting.
