I PC flip as a hobby, and of course I don’t really care about the new 500 series hype. However, I do know that over the following days, some older GPU models are going to be dropping on eBay and marketplaces, and I thought I would share a tool I made with which I buy used GPUs and other PC parts.

In general, I think that by focusing on used parts on eBay gives the best margins if you aim to flip or just upgrade your rig.

Some things I found like that eBay marketplaces (.com, .de, .co.uk etc.) often have different prices for the same items! Or just completely different items. So I built an eBay price scanner for PC components. It scans listings across different Ebay markets, calculates median prices, and flags anything selling below market (including shipping costs to your location). It basically finds the best deal that is specific to your location. It currently tracks GPUs, CPUs, RAM and motherboards across 6 eBay markets, updating every 8 hours.

With the RTX 5000 series launching soon, there’ll be a flood of used 4000/3000-series cards hitting eBay.

Anyway, I’ve been using it myself for and it actually works – and I thought others here in LTT would find it useful.

Let me know, what you think. Would love to hear your feedback on making it more useful.
