I don’t think a lot of people watched it, but there was this show I used to watch on Disney XD called “Mech-X4” that was basically a lower budget Pacific Rim. At the very end of the first season, there’s a cliffhanger where we learn the reporter character has been secretly investigating the main character. Cut to the next season, and both the actress and the character are nowhere to be found. To this day I’m still really frustrated by how stupid and pointless the cliffhanger was
