I’ve just moved to Australia and not a single soul can understand a word I say😂 I keep having to slow down but it’s actually canny hard to speak at a normal rate and not sound like i’m taking the piss. My accent is really strong and i don’t really want to lose it by pretending to speak like hugh grant for the duration of my time here. Any other Geordie expats had similar experience and how did you manage it?
