I (19m) just moved out to go to college. About a month after I got settled into my dorm I noticed withdraws from my account. I called my bank to ask about it and they told me my mom still had access to the account and it could be her. I didn’t think it was at first because I didn’t think she would take money from me without asking. When I talked to her about it she said it was her. When I asked her why she never gave a clear answer, it would always be something like “I need it more than you” or “oh it’s only a few bucks.” She took $500 from my account every week and it really started to bankrupt me. I make 2000-3000 every other week (I get paid twice a month) depending on how many hours I work. I had enough and went to the bank and changed my checking account to an adult account so she wouldn’t have access to it and that made her really mad. She said I was an ungrateful asshole for not giving her money when “I owed it to her.” I asked her what I needed to pay her for because I’m happy to pay her for a legitimate reason but once again I never got a clear answer. So I as of right now she’s still off of my account and I’m wondering if I’m in the wrong, so AITA?
