My (24F) ex (27M) has reached out after 2 years of no contact. There were no hard feelings between us and he’s the one who dumped me because he had too much going on in his life at the time. Back then I didn’t really believe him, I thought it was an excuse but I let it go for my own sanity and then later I really did hear that he was going through a tough time. Recently he’s responded to my instagram stories, the first time to congratulate me on graduating, I just said thank you and then left it there. The second time it was something I posted related to fashion and he said he liked the brand and made conversation from there, where we were replying once a day/ once every two days although at one point he replied 10 days later. I don’t know what to make of this and I’ve left him on read for a few days. I don’t know why he’s starting conversations with me and not making much of an effort when he’s the one who contacted me out of the blue. So, in your experience what has an ex wanted after a long period of no/low contact?
