Hi all,

I’ve been trying to improve my online privacy for the past few days and I’ve learned quite a bit so far. I decided to try and use the basic AOSP apps because they’re simple and clean-looking. Most of them work fine on my Motorola (may or may not be important that it’s running a stock-ish build of Android from the factory) phone with the exceptions of the keyboard and launcher. I managed to get around the keyboard problem by downloading Simple Keyboard () and it works alright.

The launcher, however, is a complete mess. I’ve tried everything from using ones from different AOSP GSI ROMs to using Graphene’s version and nothing works. If I had to guess, it’s probably because Launcher3 isn’t a standard launcher- it has both the “home screen” components and some (what I’m assuming is) task switching stuff. I could technically remove all of the extra stuff, but I’m definitely not a programmer and I think I remember seeing some dude on XDA saying L3/QS has like 100,000 lines of code.

Could you guys please recommend me an alternative? All I want is a simple lightweight launcher that’s still being maintained. Thanks in advance.
