A couple days ago, I suggested watching some porn in bed with my husband (of five years) ya know, as you do and I asked him to pick a video. It took him fifteen minutes to find the perfect one, and I found it hilarious that when he watches it, it’s got to have a story line a plot, realistic characters and it’s got to be romantic for him to enjoy it.

I’m more of a ‘get to the fucking’ porn watcher so it hit me by surprise. I don’t know why but three days later I’m still thinking a little about it and it warms my heart to know that he’s so romantic. I was raised by an ‘alpha male’ father so I was only around toxic masculinity my whole life, so meeting my husband has been learning that men can be gentle, and kind, and thoughtful. Without being any less of men.

Is this weird? Idk just random musings, thanks for reading

edit thank you Suitable-Presence119 for this insightful comment:

“Sad to see the men chiming in the comments telling OP the (likely) truth that he put on the save choice for her. So many men admitting that it’s a given that most men prefer violent or degrading shit.

I wonder how many of these commenters are the type to insist women’s oppression isn’t real in convos outside this one. Y’all just outed yourselves that you’re perfectly aware of the prevalence of male violence against women.”
