I can’t link out to a news article on this because Automotive News has been delisted and throwing to my own website would be spam, but, yeah, what the title said: the allocation of CX-50s built in Alabama typically headed for the Canadian market are gonna stop coming for a while.

“Mazda dealers across Canada currently have a ‘limited supply’ of CX-50s on their lots, said [Mazda Canada spokesperson Sandra Lemaitre], and when that runs out, new shipments of cars will not be arriving to replenish inventory.”

About 12% of CX-50s built in Huntsville, Alabama are shipped to Canada; and the CX-50 represented about 15% of Mazda’s total sales in Canada in 2024.
