Heads up-
We have been in the process of rolling out new firmware to the TP-Link routers (we use a “crawl”, “walk”, “run” process of gradually more units per night) and we updated about 8500 units last night (first night of the “run” phase). It appears that a small number of HB610’s are having issues this morning after the update.
The current analysis is that if they are connected to a Nokia XS-010X-R ONT (the newer model we are deploying) they are having some kind of a link speed/duplex negotiation issue. They appear to come link up at 2.5 gigabit, but then don’t pass any traffic.
We are in the process of commanding our ONTs (just for the impacted customers) to a max autonegotiation setting of 1 gigabit which brings the unit back online. For the moment, tech support can do this manually, but we are working to automate it.
This is impacting about 850 users.
