We talk a lot about horrid cars that burn up before 100,000 miles (lookin’ at you, Theta II!)
And we all know the usual stable of cars that are “safe bets” for somebody looking for something reliable.
But what specific model, generation, and drivetrain choice wins the crown for being the best of the best in terms of longevity, reliability, cost savings, etc.
(this may come as a sacrifice to power, comfort, fuel economy, etc. just pure reliable reliability, especially for the owners who don’t take care of their cars)
My opening vote is the first generation Lexus LS400 with the not interference version of the 1UZFE. (I’m biased for this, of course, because I own one.)
