I’ve been 8 years with PIA and it served me well. I am due for renewal soon and have been notified of a significant price jump (30 to 50 per year). Considering the current climate of everything getting more expensive for little reason and me getting tired of this, I’m considering jumping ship. I may subscribe to their 3 year plan for cheap again; I have only good things to say about PIA after all. However, I figured it’s time to weigh my options for the first time in a long time, especially now since I’ve been out of the VPN market for so long.

My question to you guys is: what are alternatives you feel are better than PIA (geo-gating effectiveness, geographical availability, speed…), preferably in the $3/mo ballpark.
