TIFU because I fell asleep when running bath water in the hotel room I was staying at. [Obligatory this happened a few days ago] I had a few drinks at the hotel bar beforehand because I wanted to enjoy the night, and I eventually decided to take a hot bath. I start running the bath water, and get in the tub, then I accidentally fall asleep. I later wake up and the entire bathroom is flooded in a layer of water probably 1" deep. I also start walking around and the carpet in this one bedroom suite is soaked in water. To say the least, I was mortified and terrified at my mistake. When I came to, and got dressed, I went down to the front desk and told the front desk agent what happened, and I was super apologetic. I hate that I put them through that situation. He was super understanding, and super nice about the situation. He did bring up a bunch of towels to soak up the water (enough to fill up a garbage can) and we were able to soak up the bathroom and dry it out (of course I did my best to soak up the carpet), and he brought up a fan to dry out the carpet. When the bathroom was dry, I laid the remaining towels on the carpet while the fan was running and when I checked out the carpet was almost dry.

TL;DR; I was staying in a hotel, started running a bath, fell asleep. Flooded the hotel suite.
