Context, I worked in the automotive at Walmart. I’ve had an attitude before, but my manager never considered it enough to give me a write up, just told me to calm down.

I was working on a car, and had to go to break soon. I asked one of the guys who wasn’t doing anything if he could take it over so I could go to my break on time, and he told me I was stupid for taking a car I couldn’t finish, and walked away. So I was already irritated at that.

He comes back, and tells me to go, but at this point my break’s already late and I just wanna finish what I’m working on. I told him to find something else to do, and he started yelling at me, calling me ignorant and whiny. Now this guy, I’ve done ALOT of favors for. I had let him use my car several times, given him rides to and from work, shit like that. So I got pissed, and walked away. Clocked out for my break and went to calm down.

I came back, and immediately got pulled to the office by asset protection, who told me that I had violated Walmarts no violence policy. I asked how, and he said that I made fists, which could be seen as a threat. And I’m just. What? I literally walk around with my hands in fists more often than not because they cramp. And now you’re telling me I’m being fired, while the guy that actually started this shit gets to stand by and laugh while it happens? I didn’t even raise my arms are tense up. I feel like I’ve been fucked over for simply getting mad and controlling it the best I could.

TL;DR: Had hands in fists when getting yelled at, got fired for violating no violence policy.
