It’s so stupid. Part of the point of being transsex is that you feel a discomfort and disconnect with your birth gender and the dysphoria can only be relieved by medical treatment to have your body align with the opposite sex.

As opposed to gender nonconformity—which is about the stylistic choices one makes that are about expressing identity and defying societal expectations—transsexuality is a medical condition with very little to do with personal identity and expression.

Like, you can be goth if you’re cis or trans. You aren’t going to get goth reassignment surgery. Or, you can enjoy aspects of black culture as a non-black person, but you aren’t going to go to a tattoo parlor to get your skin fucking blackfaced permanently??? Make it make sense people.
