Not trying to offend anyone with this, but it’s something I’ve genuinely wondered about. I’ve come across families who’ve lived in the same state house from birth to death parents never worked, kids grow up and stay in the same house, and the cycle just keeps going.

I get that some people have really tough lives, and the system is there for a reason to help when you’re down. But how does it turn into a lifelong setup for some, across multiple generations? Like, how do they stay in the same place without ever needing to work?

Meanwhile, others are out here busting their ass to pay $600+ rent every week, barely getting ahead. Just feels a bit off.

Again, not trying to judge just honestly curious how this all works and if something in the system is broken or just being used in a way it wasn’t meant to be
