I was absolutely shocked to see that there are some LGBTQ people that genuinely believe that we aren’t born LGBTQ. I read a trans feminist say something that sounded a lot like something Matt Walsh would say. “Being sexually abused through your childhood can definitely have implications on your sexuality & sexual identity. This is proven, not really something to debate. Your hard line view on this is actually quite troubling.” Wow way to validate every conservative who thinks we are groomed into being queer instead of it happening naturally. I really hate the infighting but it’s hard not to push back when people are pushing shit like this that actively harms the community and stifles progress. Am I the only one who thinks this quote is insanely bigoted? Another example I can think of is the MOGAI movement which to this day is being labeled as LGBTQ (It’s not) and their actions turned LGBTQ into a joke. Some of that harm includes starting fights with the LGBTQ community (Bisexual vs Pansexual debate and accusing the community of not being progressive enough), making up genders or sexualities based around the most mundane things, collecting genders like trading cards (No I’m not joking that’s a real thing some people did), and the list goes on. Unfortunately, I think some LGBTQ (Not all) communities adopted some MOGAI principles.
