LDLC France had the Zenbook S 13 OLED listed with a 7840U at 1099 €, with 7% discount ( ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED UM5302LA-LX066W). Good bargain!

I bought one immediately even though it only has 512 GB SSD and 16 GB ram. I checked my order today and they simply removed the product from their store. Weird.

I called their customer service and they explained that they had only a few items and all went in 5 days. Apparently, I bought the last one and they pulled the model from their inventory.

After the Lenovo “debacle”, it looks like it’s absolutely impossible to get a laptop with a 7840u in mainland Europe (FYI, Asus mentions some availability in the UK and in Ireland).

What is going on? Is it Asus? AMD? Stores with ridiculously low prices?
