I posted this to the Porsche sub but I thought I might ask here as well.

I’ve been doing some car shopping recently (want to buy something special by mid next year), and I noticed that 992.1 GT3 prices have gone up an insane amount recently. Most cars on AutoTrader now sit at close to $300k, if not more. Similar milage GT3s now cost 90% as much as a Ferrari 296GTB, and more than 488s and even Huracans EVOs.

I’ve always liked the car, but I don’t remember the GT3 being nearly as special of a road car as the 488, let alone the 296.

And from what I heard on the grapevine between the new Porsche price and ADM, new GT3 allocations are pushing $400k now.

I like the car, and it may be an unpopular opinion, but imo a GT3 isn’t close to be worth $300-400k. A 488/Huracan/720S are far more special (and arguably better) road cars.
