i go to a Japanese university and iykyk but Japan is super strict when it comes to piracy and it’s not just a law thing, it’s cultural because the idea of getting digital goods for free doesn’t even really cross the average person’s mind here. there was a book assigned to a particular class, and because it’s an obscure book (I think) the prof has to manually print copies for us each class. then she learned I actually had a full epub copy from z-library and she was so shocked omg??? literally exclaimed in amazement in front of the whole class it was very embarrassing.

also in another class we have to watch the movie Hotel Rwanda, which is only accessible to us for free at our school library on DVD. and apparently the class is planning to watch it together next week. and there’s me with my torrent+plex setup already watched, analyzed and studied. ✅😼 I’m starting to look super sketchy and they’re real strict over here so I really need to keep it under wraps but yeah I thought this was funny asf 😭
