BYU has been the only option in my family for generations. Now that I don’t believe in the church I don’t know where to begin in guiding her in this important decision. She figured out the con about the same time I did and would like to leave church activity when she leaves home. She is leaning towards a Utah school but I wonder if that’s just because of familiarity. Will a Utah school be toxic church-wise? Would it be easier for her to find her new tribe at a Utah school and fit in culturally with a high exmo population?

We live in the west (not Utah), she has strong academics, politically liberal.
