yesterday my mom went to the temple grounds to help with landscaping/weeding (idk what tbh) at the temple grounds. when my mom was explaining all she did (it was a lot) i told her “you think the church could just hire people to do that with all the money they have” she then started talking about all the charities the church does around the world and how she thinks it’s a “privilege” to do service for the church. it’s just wrong how the church gets away with that stuff only to promise blessings in return. i get that it can be a nice feeling to help people out and serve around you, i just don’t think it’s fair that all members just willingly do that stuff for free without batting an eye lol.
also on a side note, she said it was soooo peaceful there, but i’ve literally had friends who micro dose and go there to purposefully see weird shit lol. the energy coming from that building is creepy.
but yeah anyways…
