Here are the top seasons for 1-yard TD runs. Jalen Hurts is tied for the most with 11, and he has done this twice. He is tied with LeGarrette Blount (2016) and Greg Bell (1988). Jamaal Williams’ 2022 season with Detroit is right behind those guys with 10.

This year, Hurts had 79% of his TDs from 1-yard out, for the third highest rate on this list behind Gerald Riggs (10/11 for 91%) and Robb Riddick (10/12 for 83%)

After just four seasons, Hurts is ranked 15th all time for 1-yard touchdown runs with 33 TDs. Avoiding injury, he will end his career on top of the all-time list. If he repeats his 11 TDs next season, he will move into 4th all time and has a chance to be first by the end of his 6th or 7th season.

There are only two players on this top 20 list who had 60% or more TDs coming from one yard out: Jalen Hurts at 60% and Bill “Boom Boom” Brown at 67%.
