I’ve seen some people here write that Material Files has been abandoned. In the period that the app hasn’t received releases, Hai Zhang has been active on the project’s GitHub presence. Also, the main branch got code commits today. It has been receiving relatively steady commits during the course of the year.

Material Files just had a brand new release, and will be updated to version 1.6.0 on default F-Droid in the next three days or less as per the currently running build cycle.
