My grandmother was visiting and looking after my teenage son while I’m at work and my son knows to not enter my room while I’m at work. My grandmother had friends visiting with kids and that’s fine but I made it very clear to everyone including the friends that no one is allowed in my room.

I come home from to find my PS5 smashed to pieces. My room is also a gameroom and my grandmother said the kids can play on my PS5 without asking permission. These kids are between 2, 3 and 5yr and from the look of it they pushed my PS5 off the shelf then lift and dropped it repeatedly.

Before I left I made it very clear with audio proof that my room was off limits. My grandmother and her friends are trying to avoid paying for the damages by claiming they’re just kids. I’m now filing a civil suit against my grandmother friend and everybody calling me a monster for it. I’m also a part time babysitter and I got a good reputation for my babysitting but my grandmother friend is spreading hateful post about me on our local town Facebook group saying I have no problem suieing kid.
