Okay so I grew up contracting UTIs pretty regularly even into adulthood. I’ve finally fixed the root of my problem. I babysit a lot atm and am taking care of a 3 y/o girl still working on potty training. She had a #2 accident yesterday in her underwear and it was, tmi: soft, mushy, and pretty much everywhere. We got her as cleaned up as we could (with lots of bad back to front wiping on her part) until mom got home and could do a bath. She’s started to show some signs that she might have a UTI now (tinkling very little, frequently, including in her underwear, uncomfortable looking face/grunt when peeing, etc). I’m obviously gonna recommend mom look into it but really, my question was: with all the infants and toddlers shitting themselves the first 4 years of their life, how can ANYONE raise a daughter through infancy without them getting one? Or am I just blissfully unaware that every girl under 5 goes to the doctor a couple times a year for a UTI?
