I’m definitely impressed with the expansion release. I’ve been playing it every day. I think the different tiers in rifts are a good idea, but I’m afraid they’ll get too repetitive after a few weeks. But I saw that ArenaNet already has some new ideas to fix this in the near future.
What bothers me is that the maps and enemy’s feel like i’m playing a player created mod. I played a lot of Elder Scrolls with mods. Mod creators would often revamp older models. Same as ArenaNet did with SOTO. It just doesn’t feel right imo. I like new content and I like mods. So in that sense i’m happy. But i would love to see more unique ideas and creativity in the models and points of interest.

The relics still need a lot of work, even the best ones still feel like a downgrade from what we had. The whole thing feels half baked.
I get what you mean about it feeling like a mod, the reuse of Deimos and Sabatha’s flamethrower attack jumped out at me and the maps too. The Skyscale masteries too, it feels like it could have been a lot better.
