Hello. I’m basically trying to gauge interest in creating a walking club for younger women ~18-30 years old in the North side. I’m looking to make friends and find people with similar interests to me. I know that there’s the Edmonton Girls Club but I think they walk in the River Valley. This would be more to the North, like Beaumaris Lake or Griesbach. We could pick other different locations that are close by, too.

I would want this to be a social club that fosters connection so I wouldn’t want us to be on our phones or using headphones. We could also have icebreaker prompts to help conversations start. And I’m not sure if I’d want to make this a rule, but I’ve seen other social clubs restrict bringing friends so that you can focus on creating connections with the people that are there instead of sticking to your already established friend group. I think it could help people feel more comfortable and included.

Kids also wouldn’t be allowed so that we can focus on building relationships.

I don’t have a place to sign up or anything, yet. I’m more just curious right now if anyone is interested or if you have any more ideas or opinions that I haven’t thought of.
