I used the official win11 image on the Microsoft website.

All drivers were downloaded from steam support page.

Some XGP games such as Halo MCC, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 suffer from a resolution problem where in-game settings display a native 1280×800 in exclusive fullscreen mode, while the game runs in a much lower resolution (looks like 960×600 or lower), even the game UI and RTSS overlay displayed a much lower resolution. Windowed borderless mode doesn’t have this problem.

Other games such as Gears 5, The Evil Within, Halo Infinite, Persona 5, Forza Horizon 4 and 5, Rainbow Six Siege don’t suffer from similar problem (one can tell the difference from either the 3D graphic of the in-game overlay).

I found a solution of running games in windowed borderless mode in , but that seems to be a temporary solution to me.

Another solution is disable fullscreen optimization. But since these are all XGP games, the property of the game shortcuts don’t provide compatibility tab at all.

So I would like to ask if there are solution this situation? Please give me some advice. Thank you!

Below are some presentation of blurry and crisp game graphics.

A screenshot for Fallout76, with in-game setting as 1280×800 while looks like 960×600

Gears 5 screenshot, with a crisp image presentation of 1280×800

Forza Horizon 5, 1280×800, great image quality
