The guy has practically had his Portsmouth career ended by the National team call ups, injuries in each call up this season resulting in losing huge amount of game time for his club.

Now after this 10 day training camp, Popa says

“We saw him for 10 days… the match fitness is one thing but he hasn’t trained enough to be in contention for two crucial matches,” Popovic said of Yengi.

Yeesh. Just don’t call him up at all? There were plenty of strikers (and still are) that deserve a spot in the team, and you basically threw him to the wolves at his lowest.
