im genuinely scared for my safety and my next steps in transitioning. my country has just elected a new president - a pimp, a gangster, a guy whos been taking nicotine bags on live debates. the political party he’s connected with shouted and celebrated at the top of their lungs when trump won presidential elections in the us. they’re conservative, and have voiced their opinions on transsexual people many times before.

Right now, it’s only a president. Here, he can just veto bills and his function is mostly representative. However, in two years (if not earlier, it can change), there’ll be perliamentary elections. Considering how people have voted in the elections this year, the right and far-right parties will hold absolute power.

I’ve been in the process of trying to medically transition since 2021. I finally got a date for the final consultation in a year. After that is finished, I would have to work against the clock and somehow manage to change my legal name on my ID and birth certificate in less than a year, which is unlikely. If I don’t manage to do it in time, and the government will stop it from being possible - I don’t think I’ll be able to cope with it. Not even mentioning all the further steps such as surgeries (which ill probably do in another country), or if me changing my details won’t be reversed somehow.

Sorry for writing it here but I don’t want to post it on the main subs, and i just need to get this off my chest somehow. im just tired
