Transfort is working to optimize our bus system, as it has struggled to regain ridership after dipping in 2020. We have a lot of underutilized routes with some carrying an average of < 5 people per bus. The city also does not have the funding for the full build out detailed in the city’s 2019 transportation master plan. Transfort is therefore working to determine the best ways to provide service, while working within their projected budget.

If there are specific missing connections or routes this is an opportunity to let Transfort know. This is the first major re-optimization of our bus routes in quite some time, so it is an excellent time to get involved.
