In VAG DSGs, the “DSG fart” is a well-known occurrence caused by the ignition cut on upshift for torque reduction sending unburnt fuel into the exhaust (note: launch control slips the clutch a little, so it doesn’t have a “fart” noise) - but how does the PDK reduce torque without this noise of the fuel hitting the exhaust? Does it always slip the clutch on upshift?
