EDIT: Mystery Solved!! It was ordered by a houseguest of a neighbor. They accidentally put the wrong address, and checked their Amazon order to see where it was delivered, since it was late. I didn’t tell them that I fished it out of the garbage can to give to them. Neighbor came over with them to get the package.

I received a package from Amazon yesterday. It was a new USB-C charging cable. It was addressed to someone I have never heard of, with my address. I’ve lived here for 20years and know my neighbors. I threw it away, but wondered if it’s a scam with some sort of malware on it? Is that even possible?
