I want to spread the word as Idaho has more to lose than any state other than Alaska. Committee Chair Sen. Mike Lee Has proposed a land sale bill (a line item of the big beautiful bill). So this is a federal issue with a trickle down effect to states.
Terms of these land sales include concepts like “the property must solely be used for housing for ten years.” And unless someone owns adjacent land a parcel can only be bought by each person. This is a land grab. Reach out and voice your displeasure in offloading public lands to solve financial hardships. Debt will always come back, public lands never do.
Reach the Idaho reps with a voice mail if this is not in your best interest.
