Hey! I went to Tokyo in March 2025 so just a couple months ago. Stayed in Shibuya. Had such a great time. Just wanted to comment some of my favorite stores/areas for actually cheap thrifting because I was pretty lost when I first got there. I’m super into thrifting and was particularly looking for Y2K/Streetwear but also Harajuku style cute stuff lol. Here’s my list
- KINJI (cheap, good variety, always got some crazy deals, love the one near LaForet)
- TreFac (same vibes as KINJI)
- WEGO (so good for trinkets and really cheap - liked the one on Takeshita Street)
- LaForet (go check out all the levels they literally have everything - definitely the best for Harajuku style)
- Hysteric Glamour (not cheap but one of my favorite stores)
- Takeshita Street had a lot of cool trinkets/plushies/accessories that I bought
Honestly that’s it. I would hit literally every KINJI I saw and would always leave with something lol. Also do not sleep on Koenji. There were so many good stores that I forgot the names of but if you just hit Koenij station and start walking around I promise you will not be disappointed
