Currently in industrial construction, not learning really anything, mostly just grounding, tray, and heat trace. The work is boom or bust. But the pay is really good

I got a job offer from an industrial controls company, where there’s only one other electrician and there is tons of stuff to learn. But I’ll make 500$ less a week on the paycheck. Mostly due to overtime.

I’m in my 4th period, and feel that it’ll be harder to branch into controls as a journeyman opposed to an apprentice.

Would you take the pay cut to learn more? Or just move on and hope that something comes up later.
