Gw2 raiding scene is one of the worst that I have tried to get into. The community seems obsessed with kp, and not one or 2 kills, like 3 months of kills if you raided every week. It’s the same energy as having 2 years experience for a job, but you have only just left education.

You are told to look in the raid training lfg, I haven’t seen a single group in there. So the next step is to join a training discord and/or a guild the does training and hope there training days and times line up with your schedule. But even then, you have to join the training groups, then get promoted into practice groups, then finally kill runs, get enough kp and then you can join the lfg runs. It seems the raiding community has gated off new players to play content that is like 7 years old, completely min maxed and power crept. To the point there has only been one new wing in what, 5 years? Because the devs claim the raiding community is smaller than the pvp community. And I can honestly see why, the commitment needed to raid in this game is insane. Other games i have raided in, I just watch a few guides, jump into lfg, state I know what to do but never done it, profit.

I really like the look of the gw2 raids and the roles needed to be done in them, like hand kite, portal placement, healer tanks, needing to glide in CM to avoid ground aoe.

I have no idea on how to fix this issue, but I hope something is done. Rant over.
