For those that don’t know: Tokyo Cheapo has a nice calendar with activities for certain regions. Just noticed, for those who are in Tokyo in the summer, that there is a lantern festival at night on August the 16th at the riverbank at Asakusa: https://tokyocheapo.com/events/asakusa-toro-nagashi/ Hope this helps someone who is there in that period.
