I have grown up watching superhero cartoons and one of the first superhero movies I watched was Superman returns. I just never clicked with the character and didn’t really see the appeal. This year I started getting into comic books and I decided to pick up All Star Superman as my first DC comic after a friend had recommended it. It was fantastic I loved every page of it. It showed me new depth to the character that I hadn’t seen before. I never new Superman was so smart. Him being smart enough to decifer his DNA and create a >! Superman serum !< Was super cool. It even made me respect Lex Luther a little to. I still think he is kind of a lame villain but I see why people like him now.

Tldr: All Star Superman is great I don’t think it’s gods gift to comics but my life is definitely better having read it. Go read it if you haven’t.
