If anyone is on the fence about trying an OG Legion Go, just keep your Deck. I picked one up from the recent Amazon sale for $499 to try it out.

Yeah, the Go is a little more powerful and the screen is larger, but Valve has crafted the most comfortable and easy to use PC gaming handheld ever made. It’s legit just on another level. I was actually appalled at how much the Go retails for and how poorly it delivers in comparison to the Steam Deck OLED.

Compared to the Steam Deck, the Go has extremely uncomfortable ergonomics, VERY loud fans, tiny joysticks, a barely usable trackpad, poor battery life, and ear grating speakers. Couple all that with how painful it is to use Windows on a gaming handheld and equally painful to get SteamOS on it to fix the experience. All of these things together don’t make up for the minor increase in power and larger screen, trust me bro.

I’m never leaving my Steam Deck for another handheld again. It was quite scary.
