I’m one of the developers working on ERZ Online, an indie MMO sandbox that blends automation, programming, and a fully player-driven economy - all set across procedurally generated alien worlds.

If you’ve ever dreamed of a game that feels like Factorio meets EVE Online, with a touch of Dwarf Fortress-style complexity, this might be your kind of chaos.
In ERZ Online, you control advanced mining robots, explore uncharted planets, build underground bases, and automate just about everything using real scripting tools. Want your drones to mine ore, haul it back to base, and auto-refuel themselves - all without lifting a finger? You can totally do that.
The world is persistent and shaped entirely by the players. You can dive into crafting and trade, manipulate the market, or become the leader of a mining megacorp. Form alliances, go to war, negotiate resource treaties, or simply be that lone tech genius who sells custom automation scripts to the highest bidder.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what we’re building:
- Procedurally generated planets with unique challenges and resources
- Full automation using in-game programming tools (yes, actual scripting)
- Base building with logistics, power grids, defenses, and more
- A real economy driven entirely by player actions
- Clan politics, territory control, and player-made alliances
We’re still in alpha and deep into development, focusing on nailing the core loop: resource extraction, automation, trading, and player interaction. We’re looking for feedback, testers, curious minds - and yes, fellow nerds who love building systems that build systems.
Got questions? Ideas? Just want to talk about robot mining empires? Drop a comment - I’ll be around all Sunday.
