I have a hard time finding older games that hook me. Pokémon and Banjo Kazooie tend to fit the bill as well as Mario and platformers in general. Games like Chrono Trigger and FF (in general) have a harder time getting me hooked despite my love for RPG/JRPG’s. Curious to see what games have hooked you and bonus points if you tell me what device you played them on!
