absolute longshot, but when i was around 14-15 (around 2019-2020) there was this woman stood i think(?) close to monument holding a free hugs sign . at that point i rpobably looked like one of your average antisocial teenagers, dark hair, eyebrow slit, whatever . i was more alt during that time but obviously i know its more how i came across, maybe slightly intimidating lol. this woman maybe in her 30s was stood holding this free hugs sign and i spotted her from the other side of the street, i was struggling hugely with my mental health at that point to the point especially with going to school due to bullying and my own personal issues and i almost passed her by but id kept looking at her as i got nearer and she gave me a knowing look and i went in for a hug and i swear it was one of the best hugs ive ever had in my life. this woman had no idea who i was or what I was going through and was still ready to offer so much love and comfort to me, which as it turns out and she may not have known i needed so so badly . I just want to know if anyone knows this woman and id love for her to know that now near 6 years on i think of her regularly and how much hope she gave me at the time as a teenager struggling through on my own, and actually that one hug alone did massively help a complete stranger . absolute angel out of the dust and i hope shes looking after herself and everything turned out well for her too . the only vague identifying things i can think of was she was around maybe early-mid 30s with brown hair, maybe between 5’5 and 5’8. if anyone knows who she is please point her in my direction id love for her to know that one single hug kept me going for years and i still think of her now hahahaha
